State Police Report Assault, Drunk Drivers, Thefts, Drug Paraphernalia

Individuals involved were from Hulmeville, Philadelphia, Bensalem and Elkins Park.

Between April 3 and April 7, responded to the following incidents:

On April 3 between 3 and 7 a.m., Jesse Refsneider, of the 200 block of Webster Avenue, Hulmeville, was arrested for assaulting an unidentified victim during a verbal argument. The victim suffered minor injuries, police said. Refsneider posted 10 percent of $75,000 bail. Trooper Derek Thomas investigated the incident.

On April 3 at 5:43 p.m., state police stopped a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Robert V. Offenbach, 33, of Philadelphia, for multiple traffic violations at Neshaminy Street and Route 513 in Hulmeville Borough. A search of Offenbach’s vehicle yielded various drug paraphernalia items, police said. Offenbach was charged with possession. Trooper Andrew Hartnett investigated the incident.

On April 5 at 1:02 a.m. state police stopped a vehicle driven by Courtney Ann Gross, 21, of Bensalem, for speeding on I-95 southbound at Exit 35. Gross was found to be intoxicated, given a blood test, processed and released. DUI charges will be filed in district court. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On April 6, state police responded to the Cornwells Heights Park and Ride for reported thefts from vehicles in the parking lot. Police said an unknown suspect smashed the front passenger side windows of five vehicles between 8:30 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. Two Garmen GPS units were reported stolen. Anyone with information should call Trooper Oliverio at (215) 942-3900.

On April 7 at 2:10 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Jared N. Saft, 28, of Elkins Park, on I-95 southbound near Street Road for traffic violations. Saft was found to be intoxicated, given a blood test, processed and released. DUI charges will be filed in district court. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
