State Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver

The driver of an older model Ford Taurus involved in an accident on Woodhaven Road is being sought by state police.

are investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred Monday on eastbound Woodhaven Road just past the Bristol Pike exit.

According to the police report, the crash occurred at 5:58 p.m.

Police said a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 22-year-old woman from Philadelphia was traveling east on Woodhaven Road when an older model Ford Taurus rear-ended the Hyundai, then backed up on Woodhaven Road and exited at Bristol Pike.

The Hyundai’s driver and passenger, an 18-year-old female from Philadelphia, sustained injuries of unknown severity, according to the police report.

The Hyundai’s driver told police the Taurus had Pennsylvania tags that included the number 5459.
