Stolen Vehicle Found During State Police Patrol

Police reported to a complaint of a suspicious person who, after investigation, turned out to be in possession of a stolen vehicle, police said.
On March 14 just after 10 a.m., state police reported to the rest area near mile post 49 on I-95 South after receiving a complaint of a suspicious person in the area, according to a police report. After initiating an investigation, Trooper Adam M. Jacobini found that a 28-year-old Philadelphia man had a vehicle that was reported stolen from a location in Bensalem Township the previous day.
After further investigation, Jacobini also discovered that the man was in possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, the report said.

The man was taken into custody for receiving stolen property and was arraigned in front of Honorable John J. Kelly and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $20,000 bail.
Information from the county shows that the man was released on bail on Thursday, March 14.
