Suspect Sought in Money Exchange Scam

A man short changed a Bensalem Township bank while exchanging 17 $100 bills, according to police.

Bensalem Police are seeking a man in connection with an alleged scheme to short change a bank while exchanging $100 bills. 

Police said the man, described as being in his 50s, with a gray ponytail, entered the Wells Fargo Bank, 1242 Bristol Pike in Bensalem on the afternoon of Nov. 18 and asked the teller to exchange 17 $100 bills for smaller denominations. 

The man confused the teller by asking multiple questions and made off with an extra $900 from the bank, according to police.
