Trevose Troopers Report Recent Incidents

Two counterfeit bills in Parx and one I-95 crash.

In recent days, state police troopers from the reported the following incidents:

On Feb. 22 at 7:50 a.m., police were notified that a counterfeit bill was identified in a bank during a soft count procedure. It is unknown when the bill was passed, police said. The bill was forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service.

On Feb. 22 at 10:42 a.m., troopers responded to a hit-and-run accident on I-95 about 1132 feet east of Station Avenue. One vehicle’s left mirror struck another’s front quarter panel. Both vehicles pulled to the side of the road, but the driver whose mirror was damaged said the damage wasn’t that bad and fled the scene in his vehicle.

On Feb. 23 at 2:39 a.m., Brian Williams, 34, attempted to exchange a counterfeit $50 bill at the cashier cage at Parx Casino. Security turned the bill over to state police. The bill will be forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service.
