Trevose Troopers Respond to Crimes, Accidents

Incidents include theft, burglary, DUI, suspended license and registration.

Between March 12 and March 17, responded to the following incidents:

On March 12 at 8:42 a.m., stopped a vehicle on I-95 at milepost 44 and learned that the license plate on the vehicle was stolen. The driver, Charles Welsch, 60, of Philadelphia, was exceptionally cleared due to the circumstances of this case. Trooper Joseph Krut investigated the incident.

On the afternoon of March 14, state police investigated a residential burglary theft on Hill Avenue in Langhorne Manor Borough. Burglars entered through a locked, first-floor, rear window using an unknown tool. They proceeded to a second-floor walk-in closet stealing multiple items of gold jewelry. Trooper Keith Sinclair investigated the incident.

On March 14 at 7:40 p.m., troopers responded to a possible DUI at Trenton Road and Bellevue Avenue in Hulmeville. Martin F. Rizzo, 52, of Philadelphia, was arrested and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for blood testing. He was processed and released from the Trevose station. DUI charges to be filed in District Court. Trooper Shaun Flynn investigated the incident assisted on scene by Trooper Joseph Irwin, Langhorne Manor Officer Tom Hothman and Penndel Officer Ray Longhitano.

On March 15 at 8:58 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle operated by Jared M. Dudley, 26, of Bristol, on I-95 at milepost 37.9. Dudley’s vehicle was displaying a stolen registration plate. Dudley was also found to be driving with a suspended registration and license. He was taken into custody, processed and released. The case will proceed via summons with charges filed in District Court. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On March 16 at 2:59 a.m., state police investigated a theft at Parx Casino. According to police, Teuku Gadong, 48, of New York, removed a cell phone that Cheryl Whitney, 28, of Levittown, had misplaced. Gadong was located at Parx East by casino security. He returned the cell to Whitney, who refused to press charges. Trooper Dung X. Martinez investigated this incident.

On March 16 between 11:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., an unknown actor stole a catalytic converter from a GMC Envoy belonging to a Philadelphia man at the SEPTA Cornwells Heights station park & ride lot. Anyone with information, should contact Trooper Joseph Irwin at (215) 942-3900.

On March 17 at 2:15 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Jin Ho Baik, 43, of Yardley, on I-95 at milepost 41. Baik was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for blood testing. He was processed and released from the Trevose station. DUI charges to be filed in District Court. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.
