Troopers Arrest Three for Bookmaking, Threats

Suspects allegedly threatened someone who owed them a gambling debt.

reported today that individuals involved in a local bookmaking ring were arrested last week.

Police said between November 2010 and February 2011 an unidentified 51-year-old man from Philadelphia was threatened by Thomas J. Miller, 39, Marc G. Miller, 41, both of Philadelphia, and Thomas C. Miller, 60, of Bensalem.

The victim said he was threatened with physical bodily harm for failing to pay a gambling debt.

The suspects were charged with bookmaking, terroristic threats, harassment and conspiracy. They were taken into custody on June 28 and released on bail the following day.

Investigators are seeking information from the public regarding additional possible victims. Anyone with information should call Trooper Michael Romano at 215-791-7282.
