Troopers Charge 13 with DUI

The following information was provided by the Pa. State Police station at Trevose. It does not imply conviction.

Between April 6-15, made the following DUI arrests:

On April 6 at 12:24 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 southbound at milepost 46.5 in Lower Makefield. The driver, John J. Hoban, 23, of Newark, Del., was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident.

On April 7 at 2:13 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 36.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Philip Sofia, 23, was found to be impaired. He was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On April 7 at 3:28 a.m., state police responded to an accident in the parking lot of a BP Gas Station on Lincoln Highway in Penndel. Police were conducting a vehicle stop on a vehicle when another vehicle, driven by Ryan Hazelett, 21, of Langhorne, struck it. Hazelett was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges. Trooper investigated the incident.

On April 7 at 5:54 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on Route 1 northbound at Business Route 1 in Middletown Township. The driver, Mark Burgard, 50, was found to be impaired. He faces DUI charges. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On April 8 at 4:13 a.m., state police responded to a vehicle parked on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.2 in Bensalem. The vehicle had been observed driving erratically. The driver, Yilma D. Kedeme, 44, of Philadelphia, refused a blood test. He faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On April 9 at 12:12 a.m., state police observed a vehicle swerving and weaving on I-95 southbound at Ford Road in Bristol. The driver, Vijaykumar Mehta, 53, of Bensalem, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.

On April 9 at 2:30 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at Woodhaven Road. The driver, Elvira J. Girmscheid, 26, of Bristol, was found to be impaired. She faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On April 11 at 2:42 a.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at milepost 33.4 in Bensalem. Police said a vehicle driven by Ilya Tetelman, 25, of Holland, struck another vehicle from behind causing disabling damage. Tetelman was found to be intoxicated and faces DUI charges. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On April 11 at 6:46 a.m., state police responded to a vehicle parked in the shoulder of the I-95 northbound off ramp at exit 51 in Lower Makefield. The driver, Caroline Fisher, 21, of New Hope, was found asleep in her vehicle. She was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper Oliverio investigated the incident.

On April 12 at 9:10 p.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on the eastbound Woodhaven Road ramp to I-95 northbound. The driver, Alejando Rivera, 49, of Philadelphia, was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper J. Irwin investigated the incident.

On April 12 at 10 p.m., state police responded to an accident at the Bristol Pike onramp to westbound Woodhaven Road. The driver, Michelle L. Frisch, 20, of Hatboro, was arrested and faces DUI charges. Her vehicle struck two others and the right shoulder embankment. Trooper William Hoogerhyde investigated the incident.

On April 15 at 1:31 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Eugene J. Parisien, 34, of Trenton, was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and faces DUI charges. Trooper Brandon Horlacher investigated the incident.
