Troopers Investigate Crashes, Theft, Funny Money

The following information was provided by the Pa. State Police Trevose station.

Between Oct. 21-25, responded to the following incidents:

On Oct. 21 at 1:25 p.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a car and a motorcycle on I-95 southbound at milepost 33.5 in Bensalem. Police said the two vehicles were traveling along side each other when the car swerved into the motorcycle causing it to crash. The motorcyclist sustained a leg laceration and was transported to Aria Torresdale hospital by Philadelphia Medic 20. The car, described as a black Mitsubishi Eclipse, fled the scene southbound on I-95. Trooper Justin Oliverio investigated the incident.

State police are investigating a report of a theft from a motor vehicle on Green Street in Hulmeville. According to police, a 68-year-old woman said that somebody stole the license plate from her car between Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 23 at 7:45 a.m. Anyone with information should contact Trooper Geerlof at 215-942-3900.

On Oct. 23 at 12:58 a.m., state police responded to a crash on I-95 northbound at Exit 46B in Middletown Township. According to police, a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Ewing, N.J. man struck a deer crossing the roadway. The driver and passenger were not injured. The deer was killed. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On Oct. 25 at 2:05 a.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported fraud/forgery. According to police, a 22-year-old man from Philadelphia attempted to place a bet at a craps table with a counterfeit $10 bill. The bill was forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
