Troopers Investigate Thefts, Drunk Drivers

The following information was provided by the Pa. State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

 

Between Oct. 19-20, state police investigated the following incidents:

On Oct. 19 at 6:23 a.m., state police responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident at the I-95 southbound ramp at Exit 37. Police said a vehicle driven by Margaret Adkins-Thompson, 51, of Philadelphia, struck another vehicle on its rear bumper. Adkins-Thompson fled the scene and was arrested near Exit 30 by two Belmont station troopers. She faces drunk driving and hit-and-run charges. Trooper Gronski investigated the incident.

On Oct. 19 at 12:30 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported theft. According to police, a 52-year-old male from Bensalem was playing a slot machine and left $200 in credits in the machine. Yvonne H. Blanding, 65, of New York, cashed out the credits and redeemed the voucher. She was remanded to Bucks County Prison in lieu of bail. Trooper Allen Karch investigated the incident.

On Oct. 19, state police investigated a stolen vehicle at the Cornwells Heights Park & Ride. According to a 47-year-old male victim from Philadelphia, his 2004 gray Dodge Ram was stolen from the lot between 7:35 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. by an unknown suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 215-942-3900 and reference M03-1372351. Trooper Denny Varghese investigated the incident.

On Oct. 20 at 12:37 a.m., state police responded to a parked vehicle at the Route 413 ramp to I-95. The driver, Jean M. Aybar, 27, of Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. He was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
