Troopers Report Accidents, Drunk Drivers

The following information was provided by the Pa. State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Oct. 1-8, reported the following incidents:

On Oct. 1 at 12:03 a.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run crash on I-95 southbound at milepost 35 in Bensalem. Police said the vehicle left the roadway on the left side and struck a guiderail causing minor frontend damage. The driver fled on foot to the south, police said. The vehicle was reported stolen about 8 hours later. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On Oct. 7 at 9:10 p.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at milepost 49 in Lower Makefield. Police said the vehicle left the roadway, entered a grass median, spun around and slid backwards against guide wires. According to police, the vehicle had 10 occupants – five of which were children under nine years old. No injuries were reported, but the driver, Imran Qureshi, 32, of Philadelphia, faces charges in district court. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident with the assistance of troopers Kevin Martin and Brandon Horlacher.

On Oct. 7 at 1:13 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 southbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Peter E. Smith, 49, of Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. He was given a blood test, processed and released. Smith faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On Oct. 8 at 4:26 a.m., stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.9 in Bensalem. The driver, Alicia N. Senteneri, 28, of Huntington Valley, was found to be intoxicated. She was processed and released on DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.
