Troopers Report DUIs and Casino Incidents

The following arrest information was provided by the State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1, made the following arrests:

On Aug. 26 at 11 a.m., state police responded to Aria Hospital in the 3800 block of Oxford Valley Road, Falls Township to speak with Sheena Baker, 28, of Croydon, regarding a complaint she wanted to file. Baker was found to be in possession of suspected drugs and paraphernalia. She was charged and transported to Bucks County Prison for a detainer for parole violation. Trooper Carrie Gula investigated the incident.

On Aug. 27 at 10:48 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at Exit 40 for erratic driving. The driver, James J. Spooner, 35, of Levittown, was found to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance. He faces DUI charges pending blood test results. Trooper Robert Richter investigated the incident.

On Aug. 28 at 1:30 p.m., Robert Lewis was seen taking a voucher worth $317 from another person’s slot machine in Parx Casino. He cashed it and attempted to leave, but was stopped by casino security and held for police. Trooper Santiago investigated the incident.

On Aug. 29 at 1:22 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Igor Sapina, 36, of Riverton, N.J., was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI. He was given a blood test, processed and released. Trooper Steven Moyer was assisted by certified drug recognition expert Trooper Christopher Nacios during this investigation.

On Aug. 30 at 1:22 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem for speeding. The driver, Steven A. Davis, 35, of Philadelphia, was found to be impaired. He was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On Aug. 31 at 2:15 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported forgery. Police said a 66-year-old male from Philadelphia attempted to exchange a counterfeit $10 bill. Trooper Allen Karch investigated the incident.

On Sept. 1 at 2:01 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem for speeding. The driver, Christopher J. Dragani, 23, of Bensalem, was found to be intoxicated and faces DUI charges. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident.
