Troopers Report DUIs, Stolen Vehicle, Hit & Run Crash

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

 

Between June 10-16, investigated the following incidents:

On June 10 at 1:53 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on Route 1 southbound at I-95 in Middletown. After investigation, the vehicle was determined to be stolen out of New Brunswick, NJ. The driver, Tyler R. Bartholomew, 18, of Ewing, NJ, was charged with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of an automobile. Trooper Lee Nolan investigated the incident.

On June 11 at 4:42 p.m., state police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Route 1 northbound at Parkvale Avenue in Middletown. Police said a vehicle was travelling in the right lane when it was sideswiped by a red vehicle, unknown make and model. Anyone with information should contact state police.

On June 13 at 2:09 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle traveling south on the northbound off ramp of I-95. The driver, Christopher Simmons, 25, of Levittown, was found to be intoxicated. He faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On June 16 at 12:06 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at exit 49 in Lower Makefield. The driver, John C. Melching, 55, of New Hope, was found to be impaired. He faces DUI charges. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated the incident.

On June 16 at 12:31 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 southbound at milepost 36.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Sean S. Patrick, 46, of Norristown, was arrested for DUI. Trooper William Hoogerhyde investigated the incident.

On June 16 at 2:22 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 36.6 in Bensalem. The driver, Megan A. Weber, 30, of Levittown, was found to be intoxicated. She faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident.
