Troopers Report Funny Money, Multiple Impaired Drivers

Incidents involved individuals from Yardley, Croydon, Ewing, Boothwyn and Phildelphia.

Between May 11 and May 13, responded to the following incidents:

On May 11 around 4:25 p.m., a suspected counterfeit $100 bill was recovered during an attempted exchange at a cashier in Parx Casino by a 64-year-old male from Pennington, N.J. Trooper R. Keeys continues to investigate the incident.

On May 11 at 8:12 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Brittany DiPietro, 20, of Yardley, on I-95 northbound near Exit 44 for traffic violations. Police said DiPietro showed signs of impairment and was found to be in possession of a syringe. Trooper Christopher Nacios, drug recognition expert, determined she was under the influence. She given a blood test, processed and released. DUI charges will be filed in district court. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident.

On May 12 at 12:15 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Christopher P. Shimko, 46, of Croydon, on Street Road at Hulmeville Road for traffic offenses. He was found to be intoxicated. Shimko was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges to be filed in district court. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident.

On May 13 at 1:20 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Kimberly M. Gicking, 28, of Ewing, N.J., on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.9 for speeding. She was found to be intoxicated. Gicking was given a blood test, processed and released. She faces DUI charges to be filed in district court. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On May 13 at 2:22 a.m., state police responded to an accident at the Street Road Exit off I-95 involving a vehicle driven by Kevin F. Robinson, 30, of Boothwyn. He was found to be intoxicated. Robinson was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges to be filed in district court. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident.

On May 13 at 7:06 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by William Ciesielski, 34, of Philadelphia, on I-95 southbound at milepost 37.9. He was found to be intoxicated. Ciesielski was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges to be filed in district court. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident.
