Troopers Report Recent Parx Incidents

Incidents included funny money, harassment and theft.

The following information was provided by State Police at the Trevose Station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2, Bensalem police investigated the following incidents at in Bensalem:

On Sept. 28 at 7:10 p.m., state police reported that a 60-year-old woman from Sicklerville, N.J. attempted to exchange a counterfeit $100 bill.

On Sept. 29 at 10:10 p.m., state police reported that a 46-year-old woman from Philadelphia attempted to exchange a counterfeit $10 bill.

On Oct. 1 at approximately 4:25 p.m., state police said a 72-year-old female from Newtown Square inadvertently left $190.46 worth of credits on a slot machine. Another person cashed the credits and redeemed the voucher. That person was later identified and provided full restitution without further incident.

On Oct. 1 at 6:07 p.m., state police responded to an incident in which Joseph Koren, 64, of N. Brunswick, N.J., and a 63-year-old male from Shippensburg, N.J. had a verbal dispute over slot machine play. Police said Koren struck the victim twice in the head. Koren was issued a non-traffic citation and ejected from the casino.

On Oct. 2 at about 9:50 p.m., state police said a 47-year-old female from Philadelphia attempted to exchange a counterfeit $100 bill.
