Troopers Report Theft, Identity Theft, DUI

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

On Feb. 22, Trevose troopers reported the following incidents:

State Police are reporting an identity theft incident that occurred on Dec. 15. Police said Joseph. J. Piazza, 32, of Levittown, the Pennsylvania driver’s license of Preston J. Piazza, 31, of Levittown. Charges were filed in district court. Trooper Christopher Nacios investigated the incident.

On Feb. 20 at 4:05 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported theft. Police said a 54-year-old Philadelphia woman took $200 out of an 84-year-old man’s pocket and fled the scene. The victim did not want to file charges. Trooper Daniel Reed investigated the incident.

On Feb. 21 at 2:15 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding (83 mph in a 55 mph zone) on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Earl F. McGuire, 22, of Burlington, N.J., failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI. Trooper Dung Martinez investigated the incident.

On Feb. 21 at 7:11 p.m., state police responded to Parx Casino for a reported theft. Police said a 56-year-old woman from Monroe Township, N.J., was sitting at a slot machine and placed her purse on the seat next to hers. Leonard Moore, 51, of Philadelphia, was observed taking her purse into the men’s restroom. The purse contained $360 and was worth about $20. Moore was taken into custody. Trooper Daniel Reed investigated the incident.
