Troopers Report Thefts, Funny Money at Parx Wednesday

Incidents included individuals from Philadelphia, Trenton, Newark

On Wednesday, Feb. 9, reported the following incidents at :

At 1:15 a.m., a 43-year-old Trenton woman dropped a wallet containing $140 cash. It was recovered in the women’s rest room with the cash missing. The suspect, a 71-year-old Trenton woman, was seen picking the wallet from the floor. Trooper Craig M. Acord said the investigation is ongoing, according to a story in the Trentonian.

At 7:14 p.m., a 47-year-old female from Philadelphia dropped $480 on the casino floor as she played a slot machine. The suspect, a 58-year-old female from Newark, Del., picked up the money. According to a release, the suspect was later identified and the money was returned to the victim, who did not pursue criminal charges. Investigating officer was Trooper Henry Beaumont.

At about 9 p.m., a 54-year-old male victim from West Trenton attempted to exchange a counterfeit $100 at a cashier window. Investigating officer was Trooper R. Keeys.
