Update: Police Arrest Three Teens in Supermarket Robbery

Philly police said tips from the public led to the arrest of three teens who allegedly assaulted and robbed a man in the Franklin Mills Pathmark.

 

The following information was provided by the Philadelphia Police Department. Where an arrest is listed, it does not indicate a conviction.

Philadelphia police have announced the arrest of three teens in the Sept. 29 robbery of a 47-year-old man in the Pathmark supermarket at the Franklin Mills Mall.

Police say tips from the public lead to these arrests.

Police said the victim was approached by the teens inside the store. He was struck with a glass bottle, fell to the floor, kicked and punched while on the floor and had his money clip containing $100 taken from him.

The offenders then fled the store, but police released surveillance video from the incident.

Arrested were:

  • Jose Ruiz, 17, of the 400 block of East Rockland Street, Philadelphia
  • Kevin Tavarez, 16,  of the 200 block of East Elanor Street, Philadelphia
  • Thomas Eanes, 18, the 200 block of East Eleanor Street, Philadelphia

These suspects are charged with robbery, assault and other related offenses.
