Conference to Address Union Fire Company's Progress, Reorganization

A press conference to discuss Union Fire Company's reorganization and progress will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17.

Since reopening in September 2012, the Union Fire Company has reorganized and reduced response times to fire calls, according to the Department of Public Safety.

These improvements will be discussed at a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. at the fire company.

The Fire Company was closed twice in the past two years, once from June 13 to 17 in 2011 and then again for nearly two months from July 10 to Sept. 7, 2012.
