County Looking for Election Officials

Primary election is on May 17.

The Bucks County Board of Elections is seeking officials for the Municipal Primary Election, which will take place on Tuesday, May 17.

Election officials are responsible for administering election procedures in one of the county’s 304 voting districts. Duties for election officials include opening and closing the polls; setting up voting equipment; registering and signing in voters; canvassing absentee ballots and recording vote totals.

Election officials work approximately 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day. Training classes are conducted in advance. In order to be eligible to be an election official, an individual must:

  1. Be a registered voter
  2. Be able to read, write and speak English
  3. Attend a training class

To the extent possible, election officials will be assigned to the polling place at which they are registered.
