In one race, councilmen Ed Kisselback and Joe Knowles were reelected to four-year terms over Mary Jeffery and Robert Heller. In another contest, Councilman John Mathieu was elected for the first time over Bhavin B. Patel. In July, Mathieu filled the seat left vacant by the resignation of Joe Szafran, who was appointed Bucks County Recorder of Deeds.

As election results rolled in throughout the evening, Democrats never really threatened the GOP incumbents. Bensalem has 27 voting districts and the Republican lead was nearly identical when three districts were reporting as when all the votes were in.
