Fitzpatrick Holds Town Hall for Flood Victims

A meeting was held Sunday in neighboring Hulmeville.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, at the William Penn Fire Company in Hulmeville, U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-8th) held a town hall meeting for constituents affected by Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee.

According to a release, the congressman was joined by representatives from the Bucks County government, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Small Business Administration, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Bucks County Health Department, as well as representatives of the state government.

"The representatives…were able to directly answer constituent questions, as well as provide background information on the relief programs that may be available in the coming weeks and how to apply for federal and state aide,” said Fitzpatrick. “I cannot stress enough the importance of registering damages to your property that occurred as a result of these storms.  I urge you, if you have not done so already, to visit disasterassistance.gov or call to register your claim at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362)."
