After several weeks of a downward trend, the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Pennsylvania is $3.533, which is up 4.2 cents from a week ago.
This rise, however, is less than half of the nearly 14-cent increase during the same period last year, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report. Prices have risen largely because of higher crude oil prices.
Locally, gas prices rose 3.7 cents in the Bucks and Montgomery Counties over the week, which is 2.1 cents higher than last month and 1.8 cents lower than a year ago.
