Last Chance: $250K Lottery Ticket Sold in Bensalem to Expire

It was sold in Acme last year.

Time is running out for the holder of a Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 from the April 29, 2011, drawing to claim the prize before its one-year expiration date.

The winning ticket was sold at , 2301 Pasqualone Blvd., Bensalem. It correctly matched all five white balls, 09-10-11-33-51, but not the yellow Mega Ball 29, for a second-tier prize of $250,000.  

Because the prize expires on a Sunday, the last chance to file a claim in person will be Friday, April 27; a claim submitted by mail must be postmarked by Saturday, April 28.

“We never like to see Lottery prizes go unclaimed so we are hoping the winner of this substantial prize will come forward before the winning ticket expires,” said Lottery Executive Director Todd Rucci. “We encourage anyone who purchased a Mega Millions ticket in Bensalem last April to check it as soon as possible.”

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the ticket-holder to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery’s seven area offices. Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices.

Unclaimed, expired lottery prizes remain in the Lottery Fund and are used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians. Last fiscal year, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed nearly $36.8 million to programs serving Bucks County’s older residents.
