Pa. Slots Have Biggest Month Ever

Parx leads the way.

The $233,147,479 in gross revenue from the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania’s casinos marked a record high for any month since legalized gaming began in November 2006, according to a Gaming Control Board press release.

The previous high was in July 2011 when gross revenue totaled $218,300,465. This March’s amount was also 8.5 percent higher than the amount of gross revenue generated in March 2011 when revenue was $214,926,433.

in Bensalem had the highest slots revenue of the state’s casinos with $37.28 million. The next closest was Sands Casino in Bethlehem with $28.06 million.

March also saw the opening of the state’s 11th gaming facility, Valley Forge Casino Resort, which earned over $500,000 in two invite-only test nights and one day of operation to the public.
