PennDOT Completes Road Work on Lincoln Highway

The work started Sunday and continues through Thursday.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that one lane will be closed on northbound and southbound Route 1 (Lincoln Highway) between the Neshaminy and Penndel exits in Bensalem.

The work started Sunday and continues through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the replacement of deteriorated bridge expansion joints.

The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.

The work is part of PennDOT’s $4,142,600 project to repair and replace bridge joints on various highways in the Philadelphia region. A.P. Construction, Inc. of Blackwood, N.J., is the general contractor on the 100 percent state financed project. The work on this project is expected to be completed by June 2012.
