Riverfront Park OK'd by Open Space Board

The application next goes before county commissioners .

 

A $2.2 million grant was similarly endorsed by the Bucks County Open Space Review Board on Wednesday.

According to a story on PhillyBurbs, the review board voted 6-1 in favor of the plan. Tony Belfield, who also sits on the board, abstained.

At the Bensalem meeting, the project was described as a 10-acre park on the Delaware River near Street and State roads with access to the river and public trails.

PhillyBurbs said Bucks County Commissioners have the final word on the project’s approval. They could vote on it as early as next month.

“In the 14-year history of the open space review board, the commissioners have never gone against the board,” Belfield noted according to PhillyBurbs.
