The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, in effect from midnight tonight until 10 a.m. Monday.

The advisory calls for a "wintry mix of precipitation," beginning with snow around midnight and then changing over to sleet and rain early Monday morning.

Accumulations of 1 to 4 inches of snow and sleet are expected, with a glaze of freezing rain possible in the morning.

The Weather Service warns that this anticipated wintry mix has the potential to cause travel difficulties. They advise motorists to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities.

Overnight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 1 a.m. Low around 31. South winds around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Monday: Rain, snow, and sleet, becoming all rain after 10am. High near 38. South wind 6 to 13 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Monday Night: Snow likely, possibly mixed with sleet, becoming all snow after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. North wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow and sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 34. North wind between 10 and 13 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 17. North wind around 7 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 39.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 21.
