Snow, Sleet, Rain in Bucks County

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Bucks County from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Rain, snow and sleet are expected with between 1 and 3 inches of snow in some areas. The worst weather will likely be in the northern parts of the county.

Precipitation is expected to begin overnight tonight into early Wednesday morning and continuing through Wednesday night, before tapering off Thursday morning.

Precipitation is expected to begin as rain, or a rain and snow mixture, before changing to snow and sleet during the morning commute hours, likely affecting rush hour. It is expected to change back to rain during the day Wednesday.

The Weather Service urges local residents to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities and to use caution while driving.

• Overnight: Rain, mainly after 2am. Low around 36. North wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
• Wednesday: Rain and snow, becoming all rain after 9am. High near 45. East wind between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Wednesday Night: Rain before 2am, then a chance of rain and snow. Low around 35. Northeast wind between 14 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
• Thursday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 11am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 11am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. North wind between 11 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
