State Casinos Top $50M at Tables in May; $9.8M at Parx

Table games produced $51,401,083 in gross revenue in May generating $8,282,211 in tax revenue.

According to a state Gaming Control Board release, Pennsylvania has a 16 percent tax rate on gross table games revenue with 14 percent going to the Commonwealth’s General Fund and 2 percent to the local host county and municipality.

At on Street Road, tables made $9,787,136, which in turn provided $1,428,236 to Pennsylvania coffers and $195,743 to Bensalem and Bucks County.

The 171 tables at Parx earned more than any of the other nine state casinos. The next highest were: Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, $7,151,905; Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack, $6,933,723; and SugarHouse Casino, $6,634,069.

May’s total gross revenue exceeded $50 million for the third consecutive month, and table games has now returned more than $238 million in tax revenue to the state and local communities.
