Township Lawsuit Seeks to Shutter Rubber Recycler

Suit claims recycling process is polluting area.

Bensalem Township has filed a lawsuit against National Sales & Supply Inc., a rubbers recycling company, alleging that its plant on Marshall Lane is polluting adjacent properties and the Neshaminy Creek.

According to a story on PhillyBurbs.com, the company recycles rubber from tires and other sources landscaping and playground products.

PhillyBurbs cited the lawsuit as claiming the company’s process "puts the safety and health of township residents and business owners at risk."
