Aqua Pennsylvania, which supplies water to Bensalem Township, will install a new water main on Hulmeville Road between Hansell Drive and Galloway Road and on Hansell Drive between Hulmeville and Street roads.
The $1.38 million project is set to begin tomorrow and be completed in September. It involves the installation of 5,600 feet of 16-inch and 750 feet of 24-inch iron main.
According to a release, the new main, which is part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program, will increase reliability and improve firefighting capabilities in the area.
The work hours will be 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on Hulmeville Road and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Hansell Road. Some Saturdays may be necessary to keep the project on schedule, the release stated.
Emergency, mail and trash vehicles will be provided access to the work area and residents will have access to their properties. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted in the area.
“We ask that you avoid traveling through the construction zone whenever possible,” the company asked.
