Pennsylvania taxes gross table game revenue at 16 percent and gross slot machine revenue at approximately 55 percent.

“Since one of the intents of the Gaming Act was to provide a significant source of new revenue, it is certainly gratifying to see this continued increase,” said PGCB Chairman William H. Ryan, Jr. “The ability of Pennsylvania casinos to offer top-scale amenities and high quality service is certainly a driving factor in the patronage of these entertainment facilities.”

The December table games revenue report shows tax revenue of more than $9 million with an average of 949 tables in operation on a daily basis during December, and gross revenue from play of all table games of $55,823,485. That amount was 26.6 percent higher than December 2010’s revenue of $44,080,346 when an average of 783 tables were in operation on a daily basis.
