Teachers have been walking the picket lines for a week as the negotiations for the latest contract continue. Students have been reporting to school despite the faculty absence.

"Classes are cancelled for all students beginning Wednesday, September 14, 2011, until a settlement is reached amending the current teacher contract, and our teachers return to the classroom," the Conwell-Egan website stated. "Our building remains open, and all athletic practices and competitions will continue as scheduled."
