BCCC Hosting Free Concert Series

The free concerts begin Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. with a Performance Class Recital.

 

Bucks County Community College students will perform seven free concerts beginning this week and going through mid-December.

Then on Dec. 3 there will be a performance by the Chamber Jazz Ensemble, consisting of piano, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, drums and vocals. The ensemble is under the direction of professors and instructors Jeff Baumeister, Paul Gehman, Michael Hoffman, Tom Lawton and Mark Pultorak. 

That will be followed by the Madrigal Singers on Dec. 5. The Percussion Ensemble presents its rhythms on Dec. 6.

The Classical Chamber Ensemble will perform Dec. 10 and will feature a variety of instrumental students under the direction of instructors Karl Megules and Len Pierro.

The Concert Choir, consisting of more than 40 voices under the direction of Assistant Professor Rochelle Reed, will perform Dec. 12.

The free concert series concludes with the Jazz Orchestra, which will perform its big-band sound on Dec. 13 under the direction of Assistant Professor Jeff Baumeister. 

All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and take place in the Presser Music Room in the Music & Multimedia Center, located on the Newtown campus.
