BCCC Hosting Open House for Prospective Students

A free open house for prospective students and their parents will be held on April 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newtown campus.

If you're interested in learning what the local community college has to offer, mark your calendar for April 3.

That's when Bucks County Community College will host a free open house for prospective students and their parents. The open house will be held in Tyler Hall on the Newtown campus from 6 to 8 p.m. Professors, students and parents will be there to offer input, answer questions and share experiences.

Representatives from six academic departments will be there to discuss the nearly 80 majors offered at BCCC.

Officials from the college’s financial aid and other student-services departments will also be on hand. 

Chef apprenticeship students will prepare pastries for guests to enjoy and student musicians will entertain. Last year's open house attracted more than 300 people, school officials said.

BCCC is accepting applications for summer classes and the 2013-14 academic year. Tuition is $117 a credit for Bucks County residents, unchanged from last year. Courses can be taken at the campus in Newtown, the Upper Bucks Campus in Perkasie, the Lower Bucks Campus in Bristol and online.
