Bensalem Hoopsters Knocked Out by Chester

It was the Owls best season since 1991.

The boys basketball team had a tough loss in a playoff game Friday night at Chester High School.

The Owls fell 67-39 to the top-seeded Clippers in the District One Class AAAA quarterfinals. Benslaem (19-6) was the ninth-seeded team in the tournament.

Chester (24-1) will face No. 5 Neshaminy (20-4) Tuesday night at the Villanova University Pavilion.

The Owls defeated Strath Haven, 53-37, in the first round and North Penn, 36-33, to make it to the state tournament for the first time since 1991, according to PhillyBurbs.com. They will play a game against Lower Merion in the consolation bracket of the tournament on Tuesday night. It will be their final game at Neil Armstong.
