Bensalem ROTC Cadet Receives Honor

Bryan Reheil was chosen as Pennsylvania Sons of the American Revolution Outstanding JROTC Cadet for 2012-13.

The following was provided by the Bensalem Township School District.

Bensalem High School JROTC Cadet, Bryan Reheil was chosen as Pennsylvania Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Outstanding JROTC Cadet for 2012-13.  His entry, sponsored by the Washington Crossing Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society was selected as the winner by a panel of judges from across the state. 

In recognition of this honor, Bryan received a check in the amount of $500 from the Pennsylvania Society. He also received a special engraved medal and neck ribbon, a special ribbon bar for his uniform, a certificate, and he will have custody for the coming year of a large plaque engraved with his name on a plate denoting this year’s winner.

The plaque will be displayed at Bensalem High School in order to provide Bryan with the deserved recognition, as well as to encourage others to participate in future contests. 

Bryan was honored at the Pennsylvania Society of the SAR’s annual banquet in Pittsburgh on May 4.  On Friday, May 17, at the Marine Corps JROTC Ball a representative from SAR presented him with his awards in the company of his family and classmates.
