Program: Tourism Efforts to Promote the Region

Speaker: Sharon Rossi, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation

As vice president of tourism advertising at the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), Sharon Rossi oversees regional and national advertising campaigns; the GPTMC cooperative advertising program; the AAA market; and regional, state and national tourism relationships. 

She is responsible for a fourteen person team and at most, has managed eleven separate campaigns simultaneously. She has managed a media buy of 7 million dollars to include radio, network TV, cable, online, out of home, social, guerilla, direct, etc.  She has also managed an unbundled agency mix of creative and media buying services.

Rossi was one of twelve Pennsylvania members invited to the first White House conference on travel and tourism in 1986.  She currently participates on many committees and advisory boards in the region such as the PA Convention and Visitors Bureau Association, and more.
