Holy Family Hosts Free Social Justice Conference

It takes place all day Friday.

"A Just World: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Social Justice" is a conference that will explore social justice from a variety of scholarly and relevant points of view Friday, March 30 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

It will take place in the auditorium of Education and Technology Center, 9801 Frankford Ave. (just a couple blocks from Andalusia).

The conference is free and open to the public. There will be onsite registration. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

According to a release, the event is sponsored by Holy Family University, Philadelphia Dialogue Forum, Peace Islands Institute, and Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Various scholars will discuss social justice from the perspective of different disciplines including economics, political science, philosophy, sociology, religion, linguistics, urban studies, and education.

Presenters and speakers come from a variety of institutions including Eastern University, Lutheran Theological Seminary, Temple University, University of Kansas, Rockhurst University, St. Mary's University, University of the Incarnate Word, Arizona State University, and East Stroudsburg University.
