Tickets, Sponsorships Available for YWCA Event

The group's 19th Annual Breakfast with Friends fundraiser celebrates the achievements of underserved children, women and families in Bucks County.

YWCA Bucks County, located in Trevose, will hold its 19th Annual Breakfast with Friends fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland. 

The Breakfast celebrates the achievements of underserved children, women and families in Bucks County who have participated in, and benefited from, community outreach programs and services of the YWCA. 

According to a release, the centerpiece of the annual Breakfast with Friends fundraiser are brief presentations by several YWCA Bucks County program participants who will share their success stories and tell how their lives have improved with help from YWCA programs and services. YWCA Bucks County delivers nearly 40 educational enrichment and social services programs to less fortunate and diverse children, women and families in Bucks County that are designed to help people build better, more self-sufficient lives for themselves and their families.

This year’s Breakfast keynote speaker will be author, motivational speaker and master energizer Dr. Suzanne Zoglio.  “Dr. Sue” has been published in over 30 business journals worldwide.  She regularly appears on radio and television and has been interviewed as a life-balance expert for such popular magazines as Prevention, First for Women, Cosmopolitan, Fitness and Natural Health.  Dr. Sue works with a variety of well-known companies and organizations coaching executives, facilitating team-building meetings, leading self-development seminars and serving in the role of national keynote speaker. 

The theme of this year’s Breakfast with Friends is “Great People …Great Programs,” which celebrates the YWCA’s commitment to engaging the community in assisting less fortunate individuals and families in multiple ways and through a variety of programs that benefit people of all ages – from pre-school youngsters to seniors.

Breakfast with Friends guests are invited to bring donations of non-perishable food items for YWCA food pantries.  These items will be distributed to YWCA program participants at YWCA Family Centers in the County.

Individuals, groups and organizations are invited to attend Breakfast with Friends, or to be a sponsor.  The individual ticket donation of $40 ($50 after September 30) will help support a broad range of YWCA educational enrichment and social service programs for approximately 3,900 youth and more than 2,800 families in Bucks County.
