Unity Week Begins Tonight

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a fitting start to this annual program.

Unity Week for 2012 begins tonight.

The diversity committee of Building a Better Bensalem Together (B3T) invites area residents to visit several different religious institutions throughout the week.

Last year, B3T’s program coordinator, Shannon Hibbs, stated that Unity Week was created in effort to acknowledge and celebrate the many cultures that make up Bensalem Township. When asked to define the event’s mission, Hibbs went on to say that, “Bensalem Township is very diverse.  We hope to educate people on our diversity and open more eyes to the different beliefs and faiths in our community.”
