Hotel, Restaurant to be Considered, Kiwanis Outerwear Drive Begins

See what's happening this week in Bensalem.

  • The Bensalem Township Council meets on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building, 2400 Byberry Road. Before the governing body is an application from Purvi LLC to construct a Wingate Hotel at 2277 Lincoln Highway.   • Monday begins the Bensalem Kiwanis Club's 15th annual Warm Kids outerwear clothing drive. The club is collecting clean and in good condition hats, scarves, gloves and coats. Click here for more information.
  • A zumba class will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Bensalem United Methodist Church, 4300 Hulmeville Road in Bensalem. Click here for more details.
  • The deadline is fast approaching to buy tickets for the Bensalem Business Association annual holiday dinner, which is set for Dec. 11 at the third-floor steakhouse in Parx Casino, 2999 Street Road. Tickets cost $50 and Nov. 27 is the deadline to buy them. Click here for more information.
  • The Bensalem Historical Society's board meeting will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. at 3211 Knights Road in Bensalem. 
  • The Bensalem Rotary Club is collecting non-perishable food to help feed 200 needy Bensalem families this Thanksgiving season. If interested in donating items, email bensalemrotary@gmail.com to arrange for food pickup. 
  • "Annie" opens on Thursday and runs through Sunday at Richboro Middle School auditorium, 125 Upper Holland Road, Richboro. Click here for more information, or to buy tickets.
