Ride for Heroes, Learn Tai Chi, Fall into Bargains

Bensalem is bustling with weekend activities, including fire department open houses and a flea market.

Here are some options:

RIDE FOR HEROES
Where/when: Bensalem Township building, 2400 Byberry Road, Saturday at 8:30 a.m. 
Why go: The police escorted poker style run covers approximately 65 miles through upper Bucks County with one stop in New Hope/Solebury area. Proceeds benefit the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund.
Cost: $25 for rider; $15 for passenger

FIRE DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE(S)
Where/when: Eddington Fire Co., 2700 Eddington Ave., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Nottingham Fire Co., 3420 Street Road, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Union Fire Co., 2067 State Road, noon to 4 p.m. 
Why go: Meet the men and women who serve Bensalem and learn about fire safety. 
Cost: Free

FLEA MARKET
Where/when: Bensalem Historical Society, 3211 Knights Road, Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
Why go: Look for special treasures, or bargain buys.
Cost: Free admission

IMPACT THRIFT'S FALL FESTIVAL
Where/when: Impact Thrift Store, 91 E. Street Road, Feasterville, Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. 
Why go: 
Spin a prize wheel to earn percentages off purchases, carnival style games and prizes for kids. 
Cost: 
Depends on what you buy. 

WELLNESS DAY
Where/when: 
Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 1700 Makefield Road, Yardley, Saturday at 10 a.m. 
Why go: Try out Yoga, Tai Chi, or get a massage. 
Cost: Free
