Student Was Struck by Driver with Suspended License

A 54-year-old Philadelphia woman with a suspended license was driving the vehicle that struck Ryan Viola on Bensalem Boulevard at Portside Drive.

  Police have identified the victim as well as the driver involved in the accident on Bensalem Boulevard Thursday morning. The victim is a local high school student. The driver has a suspended license. Ryan Viola, 17, a senior at Bucks County Technical High School, was crossing the street at 6:30 a.m. to get to his school bus stop. He was struck in the crosswalk by a vehicle that reportedly had a green light. According to PhillyBurbs, the vehicle was driven by Lisa Ann Murray, 54, of Philadelphia. Police said Murray was driving with a suspended Pennsylvania driver's license, the report stated. Ryan was listed in critical condition following the accident and remained on life support Friday afternoon at Aria Hospital Torresdale, according to…

Bensalem Police Reports

Teen in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Car at Bus Stop

A Bucks County Technical High School student is hospitalized after being struck by a car on Bensalem Boulevard this morning.

  A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Bensalem Boulevard near Portside Drive this morning. Bensalem police Sgt. Andrew Aninsman reported that the Bucks County Technical High School student was attempting to cross the roadway in order to get to the bus stop at the time of the accident. The student was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital. “At this time the student is in critical condition,” Aninsman said. A story on ABC said the vehicle stopped at the scene and had a green light at the intersection when the accident occurred. Check back for further information.

Trevose troopers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Woodhaven Road.

On Oct. 16 at 6:16 a.m., state police responded to a four-vehicle crash on Woodhaven Road east of Bristol Pike. Police said a chain reaction occurred when a gray Buick Rendezvous was following too closely to another vehicle. It struck the vehicle, which struck another vehicle, which struck another vehicle… The driver of the first vehicle, a 47-year-old Philadelphia man, faces traffic violations. Trooper Dung Martinez investigated the crash.

State Police Investigate I-95 Crash

Jeep crashes into car with flat tire early Saturday morning.

On Oct. 13 at 12:25 a.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at milepost 33.4. According to police, two vehicles (a 2012 Jeep and a 2000 Mitsubishi) were travelling southbound in the right lane of the highway. The Mitsubishi had sustained a flat tire and was traveling with its lights activated. The Jeep failed to follow at a safe distance and rear-ended the other vehicle. Car Crashes into Utility Pole; Bensalem Blvd. Closed

PECO crews respond to accident scene to repair utility pole damage.

  Bensalem Boulevard was closed this morning after a car crashed into a utility pole, according to a 6abc report. Update: Man Charged in Fatal Route 1 Racing Crash

Aurelio Xhepaj, of Philadelphia, was charged with vehicular homicide Tuesday in connection to a fatal Labor Day crash.

  A Philadelphia man was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Joseph Falcone on charges of criminal homicide, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle and other offenses, according to PhillyBurbs. These charges are related to a one-vehicle Labor Day crash on Route 1 that killed a 19-year-old female passenger. Aurelio Xhepaj, 19, was allegedly street racing his Volvo against another vehicle at the time of the accident. Police said he lost control on Lincoln Highway near Street Road, left the northbound lanes, rolled several times and struck a business sign and caught fire.   According to police, Michelle Price, 19, of North Carolina, was declared dead at the accident scene. Troopers Investigate Hit & Run Crash

Two vehicles fled the scene of a Lower Makefield crash.

  The following information was provided by Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction. On Aug. 8 at 6:26 p.m., state police responded to the scene of a three-vehicle crash on the I-95 northbound Exit 49 off ramp at its intersection with Yardley Newtown Road. Police said the crash involved a chain reaction with one vehicle striking another, which caused the struck vehicle to strike yet another vehicle. The first vehicle, described as a Blue Nissan Altima with front-end damage, fled the scene westbound on Route 332. The middle vehicle also attempted to flee the scene southbound on I-95, but the third vehicle followed so the driver stopped just south of the exit. Truck Knocks Down Langhorne Light Pole

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

  On Aug. 5 at 8:38 p.m., state police responded to the scene of a tractor-trailer vs. light pole crash at the intersection of East Maple Avenue and Pine Street in Langhorne. Police said the truck driver, Douglas Lawrence, 57, of Commerce, Georgia, attempted to make a right hand turn on Pine Street when he struck a light pole with the right side of his trailer. This caused the pole to come down onto the roadway. The road was shut down for several hours due to the crash, police said.
