Bloody Man Punches Cop in the Face, Police Say

A man who was bleeding from a swollen eye punched an officer in the face in attempt to resist arrest, police said.

A man who was bleeding from a swollen eye punched an officer in the face and attempted to resist arrest, Lower Southampton Township police said. On Monday, Feb. 11 just before 1 a.m. police responded to a report of "an armed out of control male bleeding from the head," police said in an affidavit. The man who was later identified as Joseph Franklin Neff, allegedly pulled a knife on a resident of Croftwood Apartment Complex, located at 400 East Street Rd. in Feasterville.  Officer Christian Tracy and Cpl. Raymond Young found Neff standing in the hallway of the apartment complex wearing long underwear and bleeding from the area of his right eye, reports said. Police Arrest Minor, 30-Year-Old for Simple Assault, Harassment

Two people were arrested for simple assault according to a recent Bensalem Township Police Department blotter.

Over the weekend Bensalem Township police arrested two people with simple assault and harassment charges, according to reports. Just after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, a 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment on the 1900 block of Park Avenue in Bensalem. She was taken to Edison Juvenile Detention Center. On Friday, Jan. 4 at 10:19 a.m., a 30-year-old woman was arrested on the 800 block of Cedar Avenue. The woman, whose name can be seen on the police blotter, was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment, and was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, according to the police blotter. On Thursday, Nov. 15, Bensalem police responded to the following incidents: At 2:40 p.m., a 17-year-old male from Bensalem was arrested in the 3400 block of Bristol Pike and charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats harassment and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Edison Juvenile Detention Center. At 2:45 p.m., a 62-year-old Bensalem woman was charged with disorderly conduct at her residence in the 700 block of Station Avenue She will receive a summons.

Chair-Throwing Bank Robber to Plead Guilty

Bensalem police arrested Maurice Ray in a McDonald’s restaurant after he robbed a nearby Fulton Bank.

  The homeless man who robbed a Bensalem bank last month has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors, according to PhillyBurbs.com. On Sept. 21, Bensalem police reported that Maurice Ray, 22, with no fixed address, entered the Fulton Bank on Street Road and gave the teller a note demanding money and stating he had a gun. The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of money and Ray fled on foot.  A short time later police observed a cab arrive at the McDonald's on Street Road. According to police, officers entered the restaurant and noticed a male fitting the description. Ray attempted to flee but was pushed back by police. Ray then threw chairs at the officers, including a K-9. After that, officers “tazed” him. Ray admitted to officers …

Update: Police Arrest Three Teens in Supermarket Robbery

Philly police said tips from the public led to the arrest of three teens who allegedly assaulted and robbed a man in the Franklin Mills Pathmark.

  The following information was provided by the Philadelphia Police Department. Where an arrest is listed, it does not indicate a conviction. Philadelphia police have announced the arrest of three teens in the Sept. 29 robbery of a 47-year-old man in the Pathmark supermarket at the Franklin Mills Mall. Police say tips from the public lead to these arrests. Police said the victim was approached by the teens inside the store. He was struck with a glass bottle, fell to the floor, kicked and punched while on the floor and had his money clip containing $100 taken from him.
