The Bensalem Township council will discuss the preliminary and final land development plans for a beauty school at Monday's regular meeting. Students sing a selection from 'Bye Bye Birdie' at Bensalem Township's council meeting.
After listening to a preview from Bensalem Township High School's spring musical Bye Bye Birdie, the council declared March 2013 Educational Theater Month. The Drama Club will present its rendition of Bye Bye Birdie in the school's auditorium Thursday, Friday and Saturday March 7, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., with a matinee at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

At tonight's council meeting, March 2013 will be proclaimed Educational Theater Month in the township.
To congratulate Bensalem High School Drama Club for thier excellent work, the township council will name March 2013 as Educational Theater Month at tonight's meeting. The Drama Club will present its rendition of Bye Bye Birdie at the school's auditorium Thursday, Friday and Saturday March 7 through 9 at 7 p.m., with a matinee at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The Bensalem Township Council meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 has been canceled.
The Bensalem Township Council meeting that was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 has been canceled, according to a notice on the township website. "All business items scheduled for that meeting will be heard on the next scheduled Council meeting," Council Clerk Natalie Strange said in the notice. The next meeting is scheduled for March 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bensalem Municipal Building, located at 2400 Byberry Road. No reason was given for the cancellation.

The Bensalem Township meeting regularly scheduled for Monday, Jan. 14 has been canceled, according to a notice on the township website. All business items that were scheduled for the Jan. 14 meeting will be heard at the next township meeting. The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the municipal building, located at 2400 Byberry Rd.

At Monday's reorganization meeting, Ed Kisselback was appointed president, and several other changes in leadership were made.
Bensalem Township Council reorganized for the 2013 year at Monday night's meeting. The 2012 council president and vice president swapped places for 2013. Ed Kisselback was appointed president while Joseph Knowles was appointed as vice president. Council member Tony Belfied replaced Joseph Pilieri as the council's secretary. Pilieri and John Mathieu remain members of the council. Additionally, the council announced its bi-monthly meeting schedule for 2013, and named the Bucks County Courier Times as its media choice for legal advertising again. The Bensalem Township Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. for its regularly scheduled meeting.
The Bensalem Township Council will meet tonight for its annual reorganization meeting. During the meeting, council members will elect their president, vice president, secretary and assistant secretary for 2013. Additionally, the council will appoint township officials for the year, including a court stenographer, municipal clerk, solicitor, engineer, an accounting firm and various department heads. The council will also give advice and consent on many mayoral appointments for advisory boards and committees. The year’s council meeting dates will also be set.
