The sons of Jean Carson, the woman who drowned after falling into Neshaminy Creek while attending a party on Dec. 19, are seeking compensation from the party's host. Robert and David Carson filed a wrongful death civil suit in Bucks County about a week ago that seeks to collect more than $50,000 from party host Edward Brodecki, according to a story on PhillyBurbs.com. The suit says the between the bench and the edge of a drop off to the creek is unguarded by any barrier or railing “and otherwise affords no protection by way of separation from the waterway,” the story says. Residents on Palmer Avenue say they have been after the Township for years to fix a sinkhole that has closed the road.
A large sinkhole on Palmer Avenue—in Bristol Township's Edgely section—has been a problem for years, residents say, and they want something done soon, Phillyburbs.com reported. The street is not on the township's $4 million road paving program for 2013, but the reports stated the township will address the problem.

State Police arrested a Bristol Township man on Friday because he failed to register as a convicted sex offender by Thursday.
Jeffrey Dolton, 38, a convicted sex offender, was arrested Friday for failing to comply with Megan’s Law by registering as a sex offender in a timely manner, according to a State Police report. Dolton had gone to State Police barracks in Trevose to register Friday, but he was supposed to have registered by Thursday, so police arrested him. Phillyburbs.com reported that Dolton, of Plumtree Turn, was found guilty in 2011 of being a violent predator after pleading guilty to indecent assault on someone younger than 13. He was sentenced to 5 years. The report also stated that Dolton had told police he was employed, but when the business was checked, they found that Dolton had been fired in March. A 65-year-old man was placed under arrest in the Croydon section of Bristol Township.
A 65-year-old New York City man was charged with terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and harassment after an incident at the Croydon Laundromat on Route 13 (Bristol Pike). Bristol Township police responded to the laundromat on Monday, Feb. 11 after they received a harassment call at 10:14 p.m, court records show. The man arrived and confronted an employee who owes him money and told her, "If I don't get my money, I am going to kill you and make you lose your job," according to an affidavit. Officials say not to be alarmed by a large number of emergency vehicles at Mary Devine Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
Bristol Township School District officials are asking parents and residents not to be alarmed Tuesday morning if they see a large amount of emergency vehicles outside Mary Devine Elementary School in Croydon. The school is set to be the site of the Bucks County Emergency Management Team's regular meeting. "As part of the School District's Safety and Emergency Plan, members of our administration meet regularly with County representatives to review safety procedures," a statement read. Recently, Walt Disney Elementary School in Falls Township was used by Tullytown police as the site of a weekend active shooter training drill.

An investigation into a “personnel matter” is being conducted at Bucks County Technical High School, according to a letter issued to parents and students late in the week. Sources tell Patch the investigation is focusing on accusations of “inappropriate relations” between a male member of the teaching staff and a female student. An emergency medical helicopter took an injured teen from Bucks County Technical High School to the hospital on Thursday.
A medical helicopter operated by the University of Pennsylvania landed at Bucks County Technical High School on Thursday morning to rush an injured teen to the hospital. The 14-year-old boy suffers from "brittle bone disease" and fractured his femur during school. Emergency medical crews deemed it in the victim's best interest to transport him via helicopter, Principal Mary Kelly said. Local fire crews established a landing zone at the high school in Bristol Township so the distinctive blue and white helicopter was able to land and transport the 14-year-old to a city hospital just before 10 a.m., emergency officials said.
