Bensalem police are reporting that an autopsy found nothing suspicious in the recent death of an 8-month-old baby found in a local motel room. The boy’s parents called police Tuesday morning when he was unresponsive in a make-shift bed of pillows on the floor. They were staying in a motel on Old Lincoln Highway. The infant pronounced dead at Aria Health Torresdale Campus. Sgt. Andrew Aninsman said that police found no signs of trauma on the child, but thought it suspicious at first because of his age, according to PhillyBurbs. “Additional test will be performed including a toxicology exam and that information will not be available for several weeks,” Aninsman said.

Hofman: "No relationship" between Philadelphia judge's competency ruling and death of former Cardinal
Former Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua died of natural causes, Montgomery County Coroner Walter I. Hofman said Thursday afternoon. Hofman said he found no evidence of strangulation, suffocation, or other types of wounds or injuries on Bevilacqua's body. Bevilacqua was on several medications, which Hofman said were found in the body in expected amounts, allowing for irregularities caused by the introduction of embalming fluid. Bevilacqua's body was examined after it had been prepared for interment by an Upper Darby funeral home. The official cause of death was listed as arteriosclerotic heart disease, Hofman said. "Elderly people with pre-existing diseases often die quite suddenly," he said. Bevilacqua died on Jan. 31 in Wynnewood at the age of…

According to a story on cbslocal.com, area first responders are urging passage of federal legislation that would protect the families of volunteer EMTs killed in the line of duty. Why are they doing this? In March 2010, Bensalem EMT Danny McIntosh suffered a massive heart attack in the line of duty and passed away a short time later. He was 39 years old and left behind a widow and two children. The federal Public Safety Officer Benefits program was created in the 1970s to provide benefits to the families of first responders who die or become disabled in the line of duty. However, current law limits these benefits only to those emergency personnel who are employed by governmental units. Volunteers are excluded. There is currently …

The following is a story and poll from Beverly Hills Patch. As the investigation into Whitney Houston's death continued inside the Beverly Hilton Saturday night, helicopters hovered overhead and camera crews, reporters and fans gathered outside the hotel. Marquit and Autrese Strozier of Los Angeles came to the Hilton when they learned of Houston's death. "When we heard the news, we just wanted to come out and see if it was true, and also see them bring her body out—so we could see if it was real," Marquit Strozier said. His wife, Autrese Strozier, said Houston was an inspirational figure. "She was iconic. She was the Queen of Pop. I'm saddened to hear that she died so early," she said, noting that her favorite Houston song is I Will Always…

Believe it or not not all the people who live in them are drug addicted criminals!! Yes I don't believe that they should have had their baby sleeping on the floor however if you really open your eyes there's babies sleeping in cars or tents. The world is a tough place right now …   more ›
