Drug Possession Charges Pending After Traffic Stop

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop where the driver was found with possible drugs and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop in Bensalem where the driver driver was found with possible drugs and paraphernalia, according to police reports. A 30-year-old Levittown woman was pulled over for a traffic violation on Monday at 10:38 a.m., a report from the state police said. The traffic stop took place on I-95 South just past mile marker 33 in Bensalem. After further investigation, Trooper Preston M. Gray found the driver of the vehicle to be "in possession of a green leafy substance, suspected to marijuana," the report said. Drug paraphernalia was also found. Charges are being filed in district court, according to the report.

Trevose troopers picked up a Dublin woman in Penndel District Court on an outstanding criminal warrant for drug manufacturing.

Traffic Stop Yields Drug Arrest

Trevose troopers Tueday made a traffic stop on I-95 and discovered drugs in the car.

The driver, a 48-year-old Jacksonville, NC man, was arrested after police located a controlled substance during a search of the vehicle. He was lodged in Bucks County Prison on $25,000 bail. Trooper Brandon Horlacher investigated the incident.

Police Chase Alleged Drug Dealers to Philly

A news helicopter assisted police in locating alleged drug dealers following a high-speed chase.

  Police arrested two suspected drug dealers after a high-speed chase from Bensalem to Philadelphia Monday night. On Sept. 10 at 7 p.m., the Bensalem Police Special Investigations Unit attempted to arrest Rasheed Potts, 28, of the 4100 block of Orchard Street, and Dominique Winn, 22, of the 1500 block of S. Garnet Street, for delivery of approximately an ounce of cocaine. The arrest attempt occurred near Parx Casino, according to PhillyBurbs. While attempting to make the arrest, Potts and Winn fled the scene causing a police chase. At the time, police believed one or both of suspects were armed with handguns. After the vehicle exited I-95 at Bridge Street, police terminated the chase however Chopper 6 had monitored the fleeing vehicle. …

Police Make $10M Drug Bust

Two men arrested when police found heroin and Methamphetamine in their truck.

  On July 15, Bensalem police arrested two men from California and seized drugs with an estimated value of over $10 million. According to a release, police were conducting a surveillance detail at 6:45 p.m. in the area of State Road and American Drive. While there, Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of 2600 block of State Road. A few minutes later, officers observed the two males walking southbound on State Road and acting very suspicious. They were then observed driving away in a blue tractor trailer bearing a California registration. A Bensalem K-9 officer stopped the vehicle in the 3700 block of Street Road for a traffic violation. Bill 'El Wingador' Simmons Arrested on Cocaine Charges

The New Jersey State Police announced the arrest Tuesday of the wing-eating champion.

It's was a bad day for one Philadelphia-area competitive-eating champion. Five-time Wing Bowl champion and Woodbury Heights, N.J. native Bill “El Wingador” Simmons has been arrested on cocaine distribution charges, New Jersey State Police Lt. Stephen Jones announced Tuesday. Simmons was caught with $8,000 worth of powdered cocaine and more than $4,000 in cash in his 2010 Kia Soul when State Police detectives stopped him Friday evening, June 15, in Harrison Township, Jones said. Immediately following the car stop, state troopers and investigators from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office (GCPO), part of a joint investigation by the State Police Drug Trafficking South Unit and the GCPO, executed two search warrants at two Woodbury …

State Police Make Drunk Driving, Drug Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between May 30 and June 2, Trevose troopers made the following arrests: On May 30 at 4:25 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 southbound at exit 40 in Bristol Township. The driver, Alan Waserstrom, 34, of Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. He was arrested for DUI and possession. Trooper Lee Nolan investigated the incident. On May 31 at 12:45 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at exit 37.9 in Bensalem. Police searched the vehicle and located several bundles of suspected heroin. The driver, Michael J.
